  • Steven De Rooy - Director

    Steven graduated from QUT, Brisbane at the end of 1997 and has since worked in a wide variety of public health positions and private practice in Newcastle, Northern NSW, Gold Coast/Tweed before moving to Melbourne in late 2015. He established his first full time private practice in 2001.  He also spent nearly 2 years working in London in the National Health Service in the UK (2007-2008). Steven has more than 25 years of clinical experience in all aspects of podiatry practice. His areas of practice include:- Sports medicine/biomechanics, Gait analysis, Custom Orthotics, Paediatrics, High risk Diabetic foot care and assessment and General treatment (ingrown nails, corns)   

    Steven has been an avid sportsman for over 30 years and has played Indoor Cricket (State Titles), Cricket/Soccer/Football (Zone Titles) and Karate (Aust Open 2001) giving him an excellent understanding of foot/ankle injuries relating to various sports and types of footwear. He served as an Aust Army Officer (PT) for 8 years giving very good knowledge on ADF footwear/workboots and has travelled extensively across over 85 countries including Hiking, Camping, Scuba diving and Mountaineering. These experiences have given him a very good practical knowledge of most sports and outdoor activities and how they relate to podiatry practice.

    Steven lives in North Melbourne with his wife and children. He keeps fit coaching junior soccer, running and games of backyard AFL.
